Able Skip Hire Ltd is committed to recycling as much of the waste we collect as possible. We currently recycle up to 70% of all our waste, but our eventual aim is to bring this figure closer to 90-100%. As you may be aware, our Government and the EU are committed to the cessation of the use of Landfill Sites. This outdated method of disposing of our waste is now deemed to be very harmful to the environment, and we must now develop new recycling and composting techniques. By 2010 the Government wants to have reduced Landfill by 60% and by 2016 to have phased it out completely.

Because of our commitment to recycling you can be assured that we will endeavour to recycle whatever we can out of your skip. The following is a list of waste products that can be recycled:

• Clays, Soils and Sand
• Brick, Concrete and all grades of stone
• Wood
• Metals
• Electrical and computer items
• Clean plastics
• Clothing and textiles

When your skip is collected it is taken to our Waste Transfer Station and tipped. Then our trained recycling operatives remove the above and it is turn sent on to recycling depots to be processed.

So when hiring a skip from us you can be safe in the knowledge that you are also helping to sustain the environment.
